Quality in Search | Search Engine Marketing Operational Excellence

Continuing on with this weeks, and the ongoing, theme of time and Pay-Per-Click management and earlier posts and about Pay-Per-Click automation, I came across an interesting post by Shannon at 10e20 that reinforces my sermon.

In her post How to Select a Paid Search Management Application, Shannon goes into a lengthy review of a presentation by on the topic given by Christine Churchill. There are two points at the very end of the review that specifically point to some of the things I’ve written about in regards to Pay-Per-Click automated software, such as ClickEquations, and it’s key role in supporting the human aspect. In her post, Shannon poses the question “Is PPC Management Software A Replacement For The Human In the Loop?” The response, of course, is that ‘it is not a replacement for the human brain’. In fact automated Pay-Per-Click software can ‘free up the human to do more creative work such as’:

  • Developing and testing new landing pages and ads
  • Strategizing and planning out new campaign ideas
  • Focusing on the big picture instead of the minutia

Additionally, and the point that really hits home for me is this:

“PPC management applications can save time and free account managers from the drudgery associated with managing a large campaign. This allows managers to make better use of their time, increase creativity and make better decisions.”

The element of effective use of time is pulse of providing the best quality product or service possible. The addition of automated Pay-Per-Click software to compliment Paid Search managers is a key element in providing added value to your clients. Clients hire you to make effective use of your time, which is really their time since they are the ones paying for it. Automated software allows us to focus on the tasks and responsibilities that the client is willing to pay for and eliminates several wastes (waste of waiting, waste of over processing, waste of over production) that they will not pay for.
